Meet Aisha Salimi: 2023 Graduate, Kabul, Afghanistan

Aisha Salimi's youngest of three sisters and one brother, born into a family that held education and support as its cornerstone. Growing up in a close-knit household, Aisha always felt the warmth of her family's encouragement, which would become her guiding light.

Aisha completed her 12th grade very recently. Due to situation in Afghanistan and limited educational opportunities for girls,  Aisha's determination and the unwavering support of her family became her ladder to success. Her family's unyielding belief in her abilities served as a constant source of motivation, pushing her forward.

From a young age, Aisha had shown a remarkable affinity for computers. She had an innate understanding of technology and an insatiable curiosity that led her to explore the digital world. Her elder sister, recognizing Aisha's passion and potential, stumbled upon the Eagle Online Academy, an institution renowned for its quality education. Aisha's decision to enroll in the academy was a turning point in her life.

Eagle Online Academy proved to be a revelation. The academy not only provided top-notch education but also offered unwavering support, shaping Aisha's academic journey. As she delved deeper into the world of computer science, Aisha realized that her dream of pursuing higher education in this field was well within reach.

Aisha's aspirations extended the opportunity to study the American University of Afghanistan, a prestigious institution that held the promise of nurturing her passion for computer science. However, the path was not without hurdles. To gain admission, Aisha needed to prove her proficiency in English, a challenge she eagerly embraced.

Husna Hashem, a dedicated member of the Eagle Online Academy team, recognized Aisha's potential and became a pillar of support. Together, they embarked on a journey to conquer the Duolingo English test, a steppingstone toward Aisha's dream of studying in AUAF. Late nights of studying, countless practice tests, and unyielding determination were the hallmarks of this endeavor.

Aisha understood that success was not handed out freely; it was earned through hard work and perseverance. She took on additional classes, eager to broaden her knowledge and skill set. Her dedication shone through as she juggled her studies, never losing sight of her goal.

Behind every successful woman is not just a supportive family, but also open-minded and encouraging men. Aisha's father and brother stood as steadfast allies, dismantling societal norms and championing her right to education. Their unwavering belief in her potential shattered the constraints that had bound generations before.
